We support this ministry wholeheartedly and the opportunity to help other preemies via the use of the warming bed is so evident in these wonderful pictures of our granddaughter Alana’s great progress! Go Asha! Grow Alana! Go “The Painted Diaper” project! Think of how many tiny lives could be saved!

Alana is so beautiful! I haven’t seen her yet!! In fact, I haven’t even seen YOU since your wedding! I love you and I think this is an incredible idea. I hope you touch many, many hearts…

    Love always, Daly Blue

What a beautiful daughter and what an awesome project. I spent 6 weeks as a volunteer at GLA this year and look forward to another 6 weeks in Jan-Feb 2012. I love this creative way to fund raise and your artwork is beautiful. There are so many very tiny babies at GLA and this will make such a huge difference. best wishes, Jane

      Jane,
Thank you for your kind words and support! It is so wonderful to connect with someone who has been to GLA and seen first-hand the babies we are fighting for. What a wonderful opportunity to go back, e-mail me: thepainteddiaper@gmail.com and perhaps I can help by sending you off with some extra supplies! I would love to help you prepare for your trip.

  4. I came across your site through Peek-a-boo ICU on Facebook. Your little angel is so cute! Love this pictures and the diapers, what a great idea! I still pull out our preemies little NICU diaper too remind myself how far we have come. Our 27 weeker was born back on Valentines Day back in 2005. I’m happy to say our little red headed son is doing amazing and I count my blessings every day!

Our babies even though came into this world way to early have brought inspiration to both of us. I started my business Busy Breathers because of our son. Busy Breathers is a backpack I designed to carry oxygen. Our son was on oxygen for almost 2 years and I wanted an easier way to tote his oxygen around. So I happy to say that because of our trials I am now able to help so many families that have babies or children on oxygen.

I wish you well with your endeavor and I know that you will touch many peoples lives. God Bless!

      Michelle,

What an incredible idea! Busy Breathers sounds totally awesome. It is amazing how great ideas can come out of the most difficult times of life. I am planning to share/give a shout out for other preemie organizations, groups, projects etc. on the 17th (World Prematurity Day) and I would love to feature Busy Breathers! Send me an e-mail: thepainteddiaper@gmail.com and we can dialogue further! Thank you for your support, and you are so right–our babies are beautiful sources of inspiration…little miracles!

Alana is beautiful. And I am glad she is doing so well. I am a NICU nurse and Ashley Buhler’s cousin. Your diapers are such a great idea. I love what you are doing. Would you mind if I share this with the nurses I work with and the families in our NICU?
